Biomechanical Assessment
Biomechanics is the study of movement and the interaction between body parts. Our physiotherapists are trained in the assessment of sporting biomechanics. This may be the assessment of a swimming stroke, a tennis serve, or your running or kicking technique. The assessment allows us to provide you with biomechanical information regarding your sporting technique which can then be used to modify your style to allow for a more efficient pattern of movement leading to improved performance, better results and prevention of injuries.
Often the solution to lingering pains or recurrent injuries stems from the correction of underlying incorrect technique.
Maybe how you are moving is contributing to the problem?
All injuries have a cause which can often be difficult to find. Unless the cause is found and dealt with, the problem can persist or become recurrent. Biomechanical assessments focus on assessing your body to pin point the cause of the problem and highlight how to correct or eradicate the cause. At Jubilee Sports Physiotherapy we identify abnormal movement patterns that may be directly causing injury or indirectly contributing to a problem.
