Hip Pain
Hip pain may be felt in a widespread area causing discomfort in the groin, buttock, outer thigh or towards the knee. Hip pain can also be referred from the lower back, sacroiliac joint or abdomen making correct diagnosis and cause of your hip pain essential for effective management.
Common hip injuries we treat include:
- Bursitis
- Tendinopathies
- Labral tears
- Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI)
- Fractures/avulsion fractures
- Osteroarthritis
Knee Pain
Knee pain is commonly felt through the front or side of the knee, however may present in many forms. Some people complain of their knee “giving way” or “catching/locking”. These complaints may be caused by a range of structures. Commonly, knee pain comes from the patellofemoral joint or surrounding areas. Symptoms may also be coming from within the knee, usually indicating a more serious pathology. Hence early assessment and diagnosis is vital to ensure effective management.
Common knee injuries we treat include:
- Patellofemoral pain (PFP)
- Patella tendinopathy
- ITB syndrome
- Meniscus/cartilage tears
- Anterior/posterior cruciate ligament (ACL/PCL) injuries
- Medical/lateral collateral ligament (MCL/LCL) injuries
- Osteroarthritis/degeneration
